Join Dr Scott for an overview, starting with the history of Tai Chi and Qigong all the way up to current medical studies that show the benefits of practicing Tai Chi. Learn about these ancient techniques that have evolved over the millennia to benefit health, martial arts practice and spiritual awareness. Class will include practicing these techniques to get a better understanding of how to apply them in your daily routine. The Qigong portion will focus on the 8 sections of brocade, an ancient healing set of exercises. Tai Chi will include some of the basics like proper stance, footwork as well as the martial applications of movements of the Yang 48 form.
