Movement and Discussion
Injury led Jennifer to yoga in 2001. Her first savasana was all it took. She knew from that first experience that she wouldn’t be able to function without it again. Yoga and its concept of just being “here” and breathing, gave her the freedom and peace she had been unknowingly searching for. Through the power of being present it literally changed her life, opening a world of limitless possibility. Influenced by many different styles of yoga, most heavily in vinyasa, she attached quickly to Ashtanga with its incredible discipline and strength. Always a student, continuing education on the mat daily, taking workshops and trainings yearly. Seeking out teachers that continue to spark this journey, she will be traveling to take with Sharath in May and August this year with plans to continue on for a longer stint in Mysore, James Figueira, Tim Miller, Aina Rt have encouraged her dedication to the ashtanga method. Jen is a certified 200ERYT and YACEP through yoga alliance and has been teaching group and private classes since 2006.
